Everything guests ask before reserving their spot.
It's Rasna's fixed-departure week over Easter (March 23–30, 2027) in Blera, an ancient Etruscan hill town in Italy's Tuscia region. Guests forage wild asparagus and cook what they pick, explore rock-cut Etruscan tombs and Tarquinia, hike with donkeys to San Giovenale for panonto, visit Caprarola and Lago di Vico, make cheese, soak in the thermal baths, and spend Easter in the village, from an Easter party at Terrarte to the Easter Monday pilgrimage, all as a small group capped at 8 guests.
Most Italy tours move large groups through sights by bus. Rasna caps every trip at 8 guests and builds it around real local life: you work alongside the people who actually farm the land, cure the meat, and cook the meals, rather than watching a staged demonstration.
Because it's when Blera is most itself. Wild asparagus is in the woods, the Easter table is the biggest meal of the spring, and on Easter Monday the whole town walks together from the church of Santa Maria to the grotto of San Vivenzio. You're not watching any of it as a tourist; you're there for it.
€2,250 per person, all-inclusive: accommodation, all meals, guided Etruscan site visits, every activity in the itinerary, and local transport. The only extra costs are flights, travel insurance, and personal spending. See the full pricing chart.
No. The Italian Spring Experience is one flat price, €2,250 per person, whenever you book. See the full pricing chart.
Yes. Alongside the fixed Italian Spring Experience departure, Rasna offers fully custom small-group Italy experiences. Pick your own activities and dates and Rasna arranges everything around you.
Blera is in Tuscia, the historic Etruscan region of northern Lazio, about 90 minutes from Rome. Far enough to avoid the Tuscany and Amalfi Coast tourist crowds, close enough for an easy transfer.
Layers and a waterproof jacket: late March in Tuscia runs roughly 8 to 18°C and can be wet. Comfortable walking shoes for the tombs and San Giovenale (uneven ground), shoes you don't mind getting muddy for foraging, and a swimsuit for the thermal pools.
No. English runs the trip. Nikolai also speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and Russian, so if it's easier to ask a question or tell a story in another language, use it.
Cancel 30+ days before departure for a full refund, 15–29 days for 50%, and it's non-refundable within 14 days, since accommodation and local partners are booked and paid on your behalf in advance. Unavoidable circumstances at or near Blera, or a cancellation by us, get a full refund regardless of timing. See the full policy.
The trip is hands-on and physical. Hiking, foraging, walking with donkeys, farm work, and similar activities carry inherent risk, like any real outdoor activity. You're responsible for your own safety and for following your guide's instructions; if you're hurt through the ordinary risk of an activity and not through our fault, that's not on Rasna. If we (or a local host) are at fault, Italian and EU package-travel law means that liability can't be waived away. See our full Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk.
