Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. This applies to anyone who books a Rasna trip or contacts us through this site. By booking, you confirm you've read and accept it.
Rasna is a small, independently-operated travel experience based in Blera (VT), Italy. We collect the minimum personal data needed to run your booking and answer your questions — nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising or tracking.
Who's responsible for your data
Data controller: Nikolai Fissenko, operating Rasna, Blera (VT), Italia. Contact: nikolai.fissenko1@gmail.com · +39 349 101 6416.
What we collect
- Booking data: your name, email address, number of guests, and any notes you add (dietary needs, questions, preferred dates for a custom trip).
- Payment data: we never see or store your card details. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe, which collects your card and billing information directly and handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Contact-form data: if you use the "Build Your Own Trip" enquiry form, the details you enter are submitted to Formspree, which relays them to us by email.
- Post-booking details: after you book, we may ask for extra information relevant to the trip itself — flight details for airport pickup planning, and, separately, an optional printed/signed guest waiver form covering emergency contacts and medical disclosures ahead of your arrival.
We don't use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. The only data that leaves the site is what you actively submit through a booking or contact form.
Why we use it
- To process your booking — confirming availability, charging payment via Stripe, and sending you booking/trip confirmations. (Legal basis: performance of a contract.)
- To communicate with you — answering questions, coordinating logistics like airport pickup, and handling any dietary or medical needs you've told us about so hosts and activities can accommodate them. (Legal basis: performance of a contract / your explicit consent for health-related data.)
- To keep a record of consent — when you check the waiver/privacy boxes at checkout, that acceptance and a timestamp are stored against your booking as evidence of what you agreed to. (Legal basis: legal obligation / legitimate interest in demonstrating compliance.)
- To meet our own legal and accounting obligations — Italian tax and business-record-keeping requirements.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the processors needed to run the trip:
- Stripe (payment processing).
- Formspree (relaying the "Build Your Own Trip" contact form).
- Local hosts and partners in Blera/Tuscia (e.g. accommodation, activity leaders) — only what they need to host you: your name, guest count, and any dietary/medical/accessibility notes relevant to their activity.
We don't sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes. We don't transfer data outside the EU except where a processor above does so under its own GDPR-compliant safeguards (e.g. Stripe's standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as required by Italian tax and accounting law (generally 10 years). Enquiry/contact-form messages that never turn into a booking are kept only as long as needed to answer them, and deleted or anonymized after a reasonable period of inactivity.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request erasure, where we're not legally required to keep it (e.g. tax records).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or your own country's equivalent.
To exercise any of these, email nikolai.fissenko1@gmail.com — we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change too. Material changes affecting an active booking will be communicated to you directly by email.
