Most Italy tours move large groups through sights by bus. Rasna caps every trip at 8 guests and builds it around real local life: you work alongside the people who actually farm the land, cure the meat, and cook the meals, rather than watching a staged demonstration.

Blera is in Tuscia, the historic Etruscan region of northern Lazio, about 90 minutes from Rome. Far enough to avoid the Tuscany and Amalfi Coast tourist crowds, close enough for an easy transfer.
Layers. Mornings and evenings are cool, afternoons can still be mild. Comfortable walking shoes (the tombs and San Giovenale are uneven ground), a light rain jacket, something a little nicer for the Festa delle Cantine, and a swimsuit for Tuscia Terme's thermal baths.
No. English runs the trip. Nikolai also speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and Russian, so if it's easier to ask a question or tell a story in another language, use it.

The trip is hands-on and physical — hiking, horseback or donkey riding, foraging, farm work, and similar activities carry inherent risk, like any real outdoor activity. You're responsible for your own safety and for following your guide's instructions; if you're hurt through the ordinary risk of an activity and not through our fault, that's not on Rasna.
